Film Kung Fu Panda 2 3D initially have subtitles "The Kaboom Of Doom" but later removed.
Kung Fu Panda 2 3D very successfully combines the fables with Asia of kung fu style which wrapped with Hollywood comedy style that brought the main frontman Jack Black as the panda. Now, DreamWorks don't desperate to explore his new plot. Importantly, there is a strong Chinese cultural background, martial arts action that isn't wrapped as serious live action films, and witty comedy wonderful weird. Now plus additional 3D and clear voice that race to be involved as well. Moreover, they know its main weapons ready for action behind them. The whole ensemble voice cast is as usual in the DreamWorks products isn't the name unknown, willing to go back again. So let's prepare!
Back then, becomes a warrior magic simply a dream, now, Po (Jack Black) is really become a warrior. Unfortunately, the realization of this dream also carry consequences for Po. He must not get lazy. He had to train hard. And more importantly, Po must be able to protect the little people who are oppressed. But was it a little folk heroes as protectors can only be achieved by learning Kung Fu?
Po is the figure predicted by The Soothsayer (Michelle Yeoh) that one day Shen will be defeated by black and white warriors. Lord Shen (Gary Oldman) is Peacock is the son of a provincial of Gongmen authorities in China's is ambitious control the entire country through the power of fireworks.
Hear forecast The goat forecasters directly Shen upset. His instincts immediately ordered his followers to kill all the panda in China to avoid the prophecy. Shen's parents were angry with their child cruelty. Shen were expelled, and then hold a grudge to return someday. Years later, Shen was realizing his intention to return with troops wolf (Danny McBride) and the gorilla guard (Michael Bell). Their first attack to the council succeeded in defeating kung fu Gongmen council consisting of Master Thundering Rhino (Victor Garber), storming Ox (Dennis Haysbert) and Croc (Jean-Claude Van Damme). So, Po, the Dragon Warrior who was keeping the valley of peace with The Furious Five: Tigress (Angelina Jolie), Monkey (Jackie Chan), Mantis (Seth Rogen), Viper (Lucy Liu) and Crane (David Cross) was tasked with Master Shifu (Dustin Hoffman) to the behavior of Shen.
Po didn't realize that ambition of Shen turns while keeping dark secrets to the origins of which can never remember all this. And it's increasingly difficult for the Furious Five to face Shen who was far more resilient than their estimates.
Any word if the Lord Shen (Gary Oldman) actually has a secret weapon that is very dangerous. With this weapon, the king tried to control the whole country and plans to destroy the Kung Fu martial arts. Fortunately, the magic warrior gets help from The SoothSayer (Michelle Yeoh), Master Skunkman (James Woods), Croc Master (Jean-Claude Van Damme), and the Thundering Rhino Master (Victor Garber). Then began the long journey of the warrior is to seek the Lord Shen and thwart the king's evil plans. And for that Po have to re-trace his past and looking for weapons to fight the Lord Shen.
The film that brought a franchise to the more murky territory apparently still have not finished a trend in Hollywood. Darkened this and darkened that, something like that. But it also means a slip of ammunition for the surge of emotion needed in the dramatization of the plot, not the exception for an animation. Now that Kung Fu Panda had been given that treatment, then don't be surprised, this sequel will be far more full emotion and touching than the super crazy laughing at instalmen initially. And should a martial arts carpet filled with choreography cool, of course, fighting the feels following sequence will also be a clearly more intense than imagined. Plus Charlie Kaufman's helping who revise the final scenario, and Guillermo del Toro who sits on the executive producer, it also the business looks more successful. Some of the new ensemble voice cast is also quite meaningless unless Van Damme who ride through the course (not the scene but the dialogue).
But all in the hands of Jennifer Yuh Nelson who previously work in the head of story artist instalmen in beginning and several orther films of stories artist from Dark City to Madagascar, which is able to bring the dark side without having to sacrifice the potential of Po etc as potent ammunition spectacle to all ages. Fighting sequence starting from hand to hand fight, martial combat until explosion an explosive cannon, all presented with intensity as if watching cult martial arts by Shaw Brothers style that makes us hold breath is waiting for the fate of the main character constantly manipulated in the earlier parts. As for children, do not worry, you cans still laugh out loud, though not as hard as the first and occasionally may be added with tears in her eyes because some scenes are touching. I believe too, splinter romance between Po and Tigress here may also you expect a long time. But not me, really. That's a little bit too weird! I will not dismiss that many times while watched the movie I misses scene quality surreptitiously eating a very memorable and make the stomach pain in his first movie, and it didn't happen again here. But however, this is still good, and prepare for the hint on the closing movie that opened of a million possibility to the next instalmen without requiring you wait in the first of the end credits is finish rolling. Let's wait for Po's another adventure!
